IASP Advisory Council and China Office updates

We are delighted to announce that Lamiae Benmakhlouf (Morocco) has been appointed President of the IASP Advisory Council, taking over from Jean-François Balducchi (France) to whom we extend our sincere thanks for his commitment and valued contributions to our association.  

As President of the Advisory Council, Lamiae will also join the IASP Board of Directors, representing the Council and sharing its analysis and recommendations as input to the association’s strategic discussions.

Lamiae Benmakhlouf is CEO of Technopark Morocco and is the first women to hold this position since the establishment of Moroccan Information Technopark Company (MITC). She holds a DESA in Finance, and an Executive MBA, and works supporting several initiatives promoting entrepreneurship in new technologies and sustainable development and actively participates in professional mentoring programs for young entrepreneurs.  

We warmly welcome Lamiae as she begins this new chapter with IASP. 

Completing the Advisory Council are Alberto Albahari (Spain), Martin Goroško (Estonia), Paul Jansen (The Netherlands), Carina Rapetti (Argentina), and Romildo Toledo (Brasil), bringing a mix of academia and practitioners to our think tank with a wide range of industry experience and perspectives from around the world. In other updates, the IASP China Office also welcomes a new director, Ming Yang, following the retirement of Herbert Chen. Celebrated at the recent World Conference in Beijing, we sincerely thank Herbert for his dedication and longstanding support of the science park industry, and warmly welcome Ming as he steps into this new role.
